It is found that the works of M. Porter have made the greatest contribution to the study of how a country or region can achieve competitive advantages over other economic entities. The article analyzes the key theories that have had the greatest impact on the global direction of economic science regarding the country's investment attractiveness The second section analyzes the factors that influence the investment attractiveness of a country. The economic, political and cultural environment of the countries that are ranked among the top 20 countries in the world in terms of geographical diversification of imports and exports is studied using international ratings. The third chapter of the master's thesis identifies the main criteria and corresponding assessment ratings of investment attractiveness of countries for the EU candidate countries. The main evaluation criteria include the assessment of the country's market economy and the ability to be competitive in the EU. The main characteristics of the criteria are highlighted. For each characteristic of the criteria, the corresponding international rating characterizing the investment attractiveness of the country is selected.У першому розділі магістерської роботи розглянуто теоретичні основи оцінки інвестиційної привабливості країн. Вивчено сучасні концепції та моделі М. Портера, Дж. Даннінга, що дозволяють комплексно оцінити інвестиційне середовище. Також досліджено міжнародні рейтинги та індекси, які використовуються для аналізу інвестиційного клімату, такі як Global Competitiveness Index, Corruption Perceptions Index, Index of Economic Freedom, Human Development Index. У другому розділі проаналізовано основні фактори, що формують інвестиційне середовище країн Східної Європи, включаючи політико-правові умови, макроекономічну стабільність, інфраструктуру та соціальні аспекти. Встановлено, що гармонізація законодавства з нормами ЄС, розвиток інноваційних кластерів та спеціальних економічних зон значно сприяють залученню інвестицій. У третьому розділі проведено компаративний аналіз інвестиційної привабливості країн Східної Європи за ключовими міжнародними індикаторами. Виявлено лідерів у регіоні, таких як Польща, Чехія та Естонія, та окреслено виклики, з якими стикаються інші країни, зокрема в сфері боротьби з корупцією, розвитку інфраструктури та забезпечення економічної стабільності.
