During the writing of the work the general theoretical and methodological bases for research of emotional intelligence, adaptation of students to high school and their interrelation are defined, the complex of the methods adequate to the purposes of research is selected, the factors influencing effective adaptation of freshmen to new conditions are diagnosed and analyzed, conclusions that made are about the features of emotional intelligence of freshmenУ роботі аналізується проблема адаптації студентів-першокурсників до нових умов навчання та розглянуте поняття емоційного інтелекту як чинника соціально-психологічної адаптації особистості, а також доведено взаємозв’язок між цими аспектами.
