Анотація
The article is devoted to the problem of political protest on the local level. The role of city space
in a political system of a country has been shown. A complex analysis of global urbanization has
been done. An axiological aspect of local protests has been observed in the context of society
polarization. A special attention to examples from Western and post-Soviet countries has been
paid. Ecological, transport, economic and other reasons have been considered in the complex of
factors of political protest dynamization. Using examples from Ukraine we have proved that
political protests on the local level are controversial. It is underlined that political space is
overwhelmed with protest movements, therefore operative crisis reaction is needed. System,
structure and function, comparative and other methods have been used in the research.
