Анотація

The article is devoted to the presentation of the issue of leadership qualities of a teacher at a higher educational institution. The authors present their view on the leadership qualities of a person which are considered as complex personal characteristics manifested in the process of social interaction, in which they are formed, developed, improved, and expressed in self-affirmation, resistance to permanent changes of the social environment, active life position of a person and increase in success. Emphasis was made on the leadership qualities of a teacher of higher education and the stages of their development. Pedagogical leadership is considered as the ability of a teacher to positively influence the personal and professional formation of students, graduate students, colleagues and to direct them to constructive activity, productive solution of tasks, achievement of goals while maintaining a favorable psychological atmosphere of cooperation and creation. The article reveals the essence of the developed and tested program of psychological support of applicants of the third (educational and scientific) level of specialty 015 “Professional education (by specializations),” which included psychological diagnostics, psychological education, psychological development and psychological counselling. Examples of the most useful training technologies are given, the implementation of which in practice ensures the development of leadership qualities of graduate students.
