dc.description.abstractA great number of modern ESP [8] textbooks have been developed for teaching professional communication in English to higher school students who major in various professional fields. However, hardly any of those textbooks are designed specifically for students majoring in Pedagogy. And no such textbooks can be found which were designed on the basis of the constructivist approach – one of the cutting edge and most efficient approaches in foreign language teaching [10]. For meeting the relevant need and eliminating the existing deficit, an innovative ESP textbook for pedagogical students called “Pedagogical Matters” is being prepared for print now. For the first time ever, it has been designed on the basis of the constructivist approach to teaching a foreign language to future pedagogues.uk_UA
