Development and ways of implementation of the international investment project «Establishing a travel agency in Portugal»

This thesis explores the macroeconomic environment and investment potential of Portugal with the objective of developing an international investment project aimed at launching a travel agency. It begins by analyzing the key macroeconomic indicators of Portugal, including GDP growth, inflation, unemployment, and public finances, alongside aspects of social life such as healthcare, safety, and quality of life that influence business viability. Special attention is given to the tourism sector, highlighting its economic contribution, recent trends, and strategic opportunities for investors. The paper further examines Portugal’s foreign trade dynamics, international capital flows, and the country’s trade agreements, with an emphasis on how these factors affect the tourism and service industries. The investment climate is assessed through the lens of political stability, infrastructure, legal frameworks, and business environment. Based on these findings, the project outlines a comprehensive business plan for establishing a travel agency, including justification, legal structure, business model, financial forecasts, and expected return on investment. A strategic analysis and risk assessment are also conducted to evaluate the project’s sustainability and potential challenges.
