The paper examines the role of transnational corporations in the current economic
system and their influence on the world commodity market. Transnational firms are
crucial to the creation of new technologies and innovative activities at the current stage
of economic development. The fact that transnational corporations are specifically the
sources of the creation of most technological innovations and that they are most heavily
involved in research and development works, which are then presented on the commodity
markets, can be used to explain the large-scale impact of the corporation's activities. In
this paper, Samsung was taken as an example of a transnational corporation. An analysis
was made of the company's competitiveness in the commodity market, the financial and
economic condition of the company, as well as the investment attractiveness of the
company. Also, an analysis was carried out and recommendations were given to improve
the company's position in the commodity market
