У дослідженні аналізуються ключові ініціативи, такі як Союз ринків капіталу (CMU) та запровадження євро, а також визначаються основні виклики, включаючи регуляторну фрагментацію, податкові розбіжності та залежність ЄС від банківської моделі фінансування. Для оцінки цих аспектів використовувався змішаний методологічний підхід, який включає аналіз політик, порівняльні дослідження та стратегічне планування сценаріїв. Результати підкреслюють необхідність гармонізації регуляторних норм, розширення доступу до ринків капіталу та впровадження цифрових фінансових технологій для підтримки інноваційних секторів і малого та середнього бізнесу. Робота надає стратегічні рекомендації для вирішення цих проблем, пропонуючи цінні ідеї для політиків, фінансових інституцій та підприємств у створенні єдиної та конкурентоспроможної фінансової системи ЄС.

This thesis investigates the internationalization of corporate finance in the European Union (EU), focusing on its role in fostering financial integration and enhancing global competitiveness. The research evaluates key initiatives, such as the Capital Markets Union (CMU) and the adoption of the euro, while identifying persistent challenges, including regulatory fragmentation, tax disparities, and the EU’s reliance on a bank-centered financial model. A mixed-methods approach – encompassing policy analysis, comparative studies, and strategic scenario planning – was applied to assess these dynamics. The findings highlight the need for harmonized regulations, enhanced access to capital markets, and digital finance adoption to support innovation-driven sectors and small and mediumsized enterprises. The study provides strategic recommendations to address these challenges, offering valuable insights for policymakers, financial institutions, and enterprises to build a unified and competitive EU financial system.
