Анотація
The article defines the conceptual construct “psychological and pedagogical competence of teachers
of special disciplines at the technical college”, in particular, the definition of pedagogical, psychological and
pedagogical competencies in the work of domestic and foreign scholars is researched. The components
of understanding the essence of these competencies by researchers are analyzed, specific features and
differences in approaches to the interpretation of their essence and role in the activities of the teacher are
determined.
A series of structural schemes and blocks are offered, which allow to clearly outline the main aspects
of the article. It was emphasized that the creation of technology for the development of psychological and
pedagogical competence of the teacher is a prerequisite for the formation of a highly skilled specialist. The
urgency of the study is that modern educator in the conditions of modernization of the educational system
should be not only a qualified specialist in the field of professionally oriented knowledge.
He or she must have the necessary competencies to form a future highly skilled specialist, to
provide him or her with professional knowledge, skills and abilities; to educate a person directed at selfdevelopment, self-improvement, who has an active social position.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the definition and essence of the concepts of “professional
competence”, “professional-pedagogical competence” and “psychological and pedagogical competence”
in the work of domestic and foreign scholars and to establish their role for the development and selfimprovement of teachers of special disciplines at a technical college.
It is determined that the psychological and pedagogical competence of the teacher of special
disciplines at a technical college reflects various aspects of his pedagogical activity in an educational
institution: participation in educational and educational processes, the problem of self-development
and self-realization, individual psychological readiness for professional activity, creativity, personalityhumanistic orientation that requires the creation of a scientific and methodological system meeting the
needs of the younger generation based on the teacher’s experience so as to form a highly skilled teacher.
The article concludes that the problem of the development of psychological and pedagogical competence
of the teachers of special disciplines at the technical college has not yet received sufficient scientific substantiation and research; therefore, it is necessary to continue work on the creation of techniques for
development of teacher’s psychological and pedagogical competence that would meet the needs of the
younger generation and form a highly skilled specialist.
