The master's thesis explores strategies for the development and implementation of renewable energy projects within the Better-Building-Back (BBB) framework for war-damaged Ukrainian cities. The study assesses the current state of Ukraine’s energy sector, its distribution and allocation, the scale of war-related damage, and the overall potential for integrating renewable energy technologies into Ukraine’s energy sector. The research considers the technical feasibility, economic effectiveness, and energy-security implications of solar, wind, biomass, and other solutions based on eco-friendly approaches.
The results demonstrate significant potential for the installation of renewable energy projects across the territory of Ukraine due to growing energy needs, favorable renewable resource availability, and close cooperation with European partners focused on green recovery priorities. The study provides relevant information for policymakers, energy planners, and investors by identifying key opportunities and challenges related to the adoption of renewable energy projects. The findings contribute to the development of a comprehensive green recovery roadmap, which will support a more resilient, sustainable energy future in the country.
