BBB Strategies for Renewable Energy Grids in War-Damaged Ukrainian Cities

The master's thesis explores strategies for the development and implementation of renewable energy projects within the Better-Building-Back (BBB) framework for war-damaged Ukrainian cities. The study assesses the current state of Ukraine’s energy sector, its distribution and allocation, the scale of war-related damage, and the overall potential for integrating renewable energy technologies into Ukraine’s energy sector. The research considers the technical feasibility, economic effectiveness, and energy-security implications of solar, wind, biomass, and other solutions based on eco-friendly approaches. The results demonstrate significant potential for the installation of renewable energy projects across the territory of Ukraine due to growing energy needs, favorable renewable resource availability, and close cooperation with European partners focused on green recovery priorities. The study provides relevant information for policymakers, energy planners, and investors by identifying key opportunities and challenges related to the adoption of renewable energy projects. The findings contribute to the development of a comprehensive green recovery roadmap, which will support a more resilient, sustainable energy future in the country.
Building back better concept implementation in achieving sustainable development of kropyvnytskyi city

The qualification thesis focuses on operationalizing the Building Back Better (BBB) concept within the strategic planning system and the public investment portfolio of the city of Kropyvnytskyi, in the context of post-crisis transformations, wartime and related climate-technogenic risks. The study systematizes theoretical and methodological approaches to Building Back Better, analyzes international experience of its application in post-crisis and post-war periods, and conducts a content analysis of Kropyvnytskyi’s strategic documents to identify the presence of relevant principles. The findings show that Building Back Better compatible elements (energy efficiency, barrier-free accessibility, e-democracy, climate adaptation) are present in Kropyvnytskyi’s strategic documents; however, they are largely fragmented and not supported by formalized criteria for project selection and monitoring. Three systemic implementation gaps are identified: the absence of mandatory rules and criteria; insufficient cross-sectoral synergy in bundled sets of measures; and inadequate integration of data, monitoring, environmental mainstreaming, and financial scenarios into the implementation cycle. To address these gaps, the paper proposes a conceptual model for integrating Building Back Better into the strategic documents of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council through the introduction of a mandatory “BBB filter” procedure for all infrastructure and social investments, supported by digitally enabled transparency (dashboards and KPIs) and aligned with environmental assessment, risk-oriented prioritization, and inclusivity principles. The priority areas are defined as: housing and utilities (energy efficiency, safety, and accessibility), sustainable mobility (cycling network, transport hubs), inclusive public spaces, and digital governance (transparency, e-participation, and data management). The practical value of the study lies in developing an approach that reduces the risk of a “project mosaic,” increases policy coherence, ensures measurable outcomes, and contributes to the long-term resilience and sustainability of the city of Kropyvnytskyi.
Digital Infrastructure for Emergency Urban Integration: Case Study of Zakarpatska Oblast

The study presents a comprehensive analysis of the process of registering internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Zakarpatska Oblast as a key factor for integration in conditions of military crises and mass migration. The study combines qualitative and quantitative research methods: interviews with key informants (representatives of IDPs, local authorities, administrative service centres and civil society organisations) and a structured survey of 75 respondents. This made it possible to combine administrative data, practitioners’ testimonies and the direct experience of IDPs. The results showed that digital infrastructure is important for access to services, but there are barriers related to age, education level, and digital literacy. It was found that a significant proportion of IDPs prefer to register at administrative service centres and social protection departments because of the opportunity to receive additional advice and support. However, these centres do not always comply with accessibility principles, and the electronic queue system does not work perfectly. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the combination of structural and experiential dimensions, which allows the process of registering IDP status to be viewed not only as an administrative procedure but also as a social mechanism for recognition, integration and participation in public life. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of using its results to improve public policy, develop digital platforms, and increase the inclusiveness of integration processes. The proposed recommendations are aimed at central and local authorities, as well as communities that accept IDPs, and can be applied in future scenarios of mass displacement, both in Ukraine and in other countries.
Energy-Efficient Retrofitting of Damaged Buildings Using Smart Sensors

This qualification work addresses the problem of energy-efficient retrofitting of residential buildings damaged as a result of external impacts. The study is aimed at substantiating the feasibility of combining building restoration with energy-efficient modernization through the application of smart sensor technologies. The research includes analysis of the technical condition and energy performance of a damaged multi-apartment residential building, identification of key factors influencing heat losses and infiltration, and assessment of energy efficiency before and after damage. Special attention is paid to the role of smart sensors in monitoring indoor microclimate parameters and energy consumption as a basis for informed engineering decisions. Based on the conducted analysis, practical recommendations for improving energy efficiency and operational reliability of damaged residential buildings are developed.
HR-менеджмент як основа формування людського капіталу в готельно- ресторанному бізнесі

Об’єкт дослідження: процес управління людськими ресурсами в готельно-ресторанному бізнесі. Предмет дослідження: система HR-менеджменту як засіб формування людського капіталу на прикладі ТОВ «Гранд-готель Україна». Мета роботи: обґрунтувати теоретичні основи та розробити практичні рекомендації щодо вдосконалення HR-менеджменту як чинника формування людського капіталу в готельно-ресторанному бізнесі. Одержані висновки та їх новизна: у процесі дослідження встановлено, що ефективний HR-менеджмент є ключовим чинником розвитку людського капіталу у сфері гостинності. Запропоновано заходи щодо вдосконалення системи мотивації, розвитку персоналу та впровадження цифрових HR-технологій у діяльність ТОВ «Гранд-готель Україна». Уточнено сутність HR-менеджменту в контексті готельно-ресторанного бізнесу та обґрунтовано доцільність інвестування в людський капітал для підвищення конкурентоспроможності підприємства. Результати дослідження можуть бути використані для удосконалення HR-процесів у підприємствах готельно-ресторанного бізнесу, розробки кадрових стратегій та впровадження сучасних технологій управління персоналом.
International grant aid as a tool for introducing smart innovations into Ukraine’s education system

The paper substantiates international grant aid as a practical instrument for modernising education under wartime disruption and post‑war recovery. Smart innovations are defined as an integrated package of digital learning ecosystems (connectivity, LMS, devices, and pedagogy), data-driven management routines (KPI monitoring, evidence packs, and audit readiness), and green resilience infrastructure (energy efficiency, smart metering, and distributed generation). The analytical part links sector needs (damage and forced digitalisation) with major donor support mechanisms and identifies why opportunities remain underutilised (co-financing constraints, procurement delays, weak project management, and reporting quality). The practical part proposes a fundraising/grant‑management unit, a stage‑gated project cycle, a replicable project template (Smart Lab / Energy Efficient Campus), AI‑assisted reporting and KPI tracking, and an economic justification toolkit (ROI and cost–benefit/payback logic) for municipal decision‑making.

Personnel Management of the shipping company

The research analyses the effectiveness of the chosen strategy of personnel management in the shipping company NIESKO and proposes a method of improving the level of motivation of employees in order to improve the performance of the former LLC NIESKO. The qualification work consists of three chapters, 21 tables and 8 figures. The work is based on 25 literary sources.
Public-Private Partnerships for Sustainable BBB Investments

The paper analyses how public-private partnerships (PPPs) can support Build Back Better (BBB) recovery in Dnipro city and Dnipropetrovsk region. BBB is translated into measurable criteria: resilience and safety (service continuity), sustainability and decarbonisation, inclusiveness (coverage and affordability safeguards), and transparency with digital governance (traceability and KPI reporting). Based on an evidence review, SWOT/stakeholder analysis, and risk/affordability analysis, the study identifies key barriers and proposes a bankable PPP portfolio (EPC/EnPC, performance O&M, and availability-based DBFO), a de-risking ladder, and a phased roadmap with a PPP Delivery Unit and a KPI dashboard.
Smart Solutions for Ageing Populations in BBB Contexts: Investigate tech-enabled

This research investigates the integration of smart technological solutions into urban and domestic environments to facilitate “healthy ageing” and “ageing-in-place”. The study addresses the limitations of traditional, centralized care structures by exploring decentralized business service models that utilize local providers, digital platforms, and modular technologies. The methodology focuses on three core pillars: the physical interaction between smart technologies and built environments, the behavioral factors (trust and acceptance) influencing technology adoption among older adults, and the economic viability of scalable ageing ecosystems. Key results indicate that tech-enabled smart solutions, when integrated through a decentralized model, significantly enhance user autonomy and responsiveness while reducing overall systemic costs. The findings provide a conceptual framework for transforming smart ageing from a purely technological challenge into a systemic urban management strategy, ensuring that built environments are resilient, ethical, and inclusive.
Smart Solutions for Veterans in BBB Contexts

This diploma paper addresses municipal (CITY-management) responses to the reintegration needs of Ukrainian military veterans within Build Back Better (BBB) recovery. The study conceptualises veteran support as a city system that combines one-stop service delivery, digital case management, data-driven targeting, and coordinated stakeholder governance. The analytical component structures the baseline pressures facing communities (service fragmentation, capacity constraints, displacement-related stress, and limited fiscal space) and links them to scalable implementation pathways. The practical component proposes an integrated Veteran Smart Solutions Portfolio covering a digital entry point and case management, reskilling and employment pipelines, and supportive services for families and community reintegration. A governance model with roles and accountability is presented, together with a phased roadmap and an economic feasibility approach (cost structure, scenarios, and financing mix). The results can be used by municipalities and partner organisations to prepare grant-ready projects and monitor measurable outcomes.
The impact of the external environment on the management of an organization (enterprise, institution)

This qualification paper explores the theoretical and methodological foundations of the external environment's impact on enterprise management under conditions of instability. It substantiates the classification of environmental factors, their interdependence, and levels of influence on strategic decisions. The financial and economic performance of LLC "GC ISTEYT" is analyzed with regard to external risks and opportunities. Practical measures are proposed for crisis management, optimization of external conditions, and enhancing the adaptive capacity of the enterprise. An effective strategic management algorithm is outlined for turbulent environments.

Запропоновано інвестиційний проект по створенню спеціального відділу в ТОВ «АМС 2021», який буде відповідальний за впровадження новітніх технологій та методів адміністративного управління, спрямованих на підвищення продуктивності та ефективності ТОВ «АМС 2021». Об’єктом дослідження є процес бізнес-планування у туристичному підприємстві. Предмет дослідження – бізнес-план ТОВ «Поїхали з нами» як інструмент стратегічного управління та підвищення ефективності діяльності компанії. Метою даного дослідження є розробка бізнес-плану для туристичного підприємства на прикладі ТОВ «Поїхали з нами» для підвищення ефективності його діяльності та конкурентоспроможності на ринку. Одержані висновки та їх новизна: у процесі аналізу діяльності ТОВ «Поїхали з нами» було визначено, що компанія має стабільні фінансові показники, однак є можливості для подальшої оптимізації та розширення асортименту послуг. Враховуючи насиченість конкурентного середовища, компанії слід орієнтуватися на нові тенденції ринку, шукаючи нові ніші для розвитку. Особлива увага приділяється фінансово-економічному обґрунтуванню, що є важливим для забезпечення ефективності не тільки на етапі реалізації, а й на етапах розробки, формування та оцінки туристичних продуктів. Підтвердженням цього є детальні розрахунки та оцінки витрат на різних етапах бізнес-плану, що допомагають максимально ефективно розподіляти ресурси. Результати цього дослідження можуть бути використані туристичними підприємствами для розробки власних бізнес-планів, що сприятиме їх ефективному функціонуванню, підвищенню фінансової стабільності та оптимальному розподілу ресурсів. Запропоновані рекомендації допоможуть удосконалити управлінські процеси та знайти нові можливості для розвитку туристичних послуг.

Здійснено аналіз фінансово-економічного стану ПрАТ «Вінницька кондитерська фабрика ROSHEN», а також досліджено ринкове середовище та конкурентні позиції підприємства. На основі отриманих результатів розроблено бізнес-план розширення виробництва із запуском нової лінійки шоколадної продукції з урахуванням сучасних трендів здорового харчування. Проведено оцінку ефективності впровадження проєкту з урахуванням витрат, прибутковості та рівня рентабельності.
